Amy Elizabeth McGee was born in Blackfoot, Idaho, on June 30, 1981.

She moved to Boise in 1997, and passed away on Tuesday, July 31, 2001.

She is survived by her parents, Patricia and Albert McGee, and her sister, Sarah Lynette McGee.

She will be missed by them, her extended family and her many friends. Amy was a beautiful baby who became a beautiful child, and finally, a beautiful woman. But Amy's beauty really came from within, blessed with innumerable attributes; her beauty, grace, integrity, dedication and intelligence were exceptional yet only a small part of this complex person. Her specialness was obvious to anyone, and everyone, except herself! She lived her short life with compassion and empathy for all, and even animals, it seemed, were the ones to take delight in her. The anguish and mourning we all experience with her loss to us, must somehow be balanced by the joy of those with whom she has now graced with her presence.
