Rites Held Today In Rayne For Mrs. Adam Clement
RAYNE, La. - Funeral services were to be conducted at 4 p.m. today from the St. Joseph Catholic church in Rayne for Mrs. Adam Clement, 87, who succumbed at her residence in Rayne at 5:30 p.m. Thursday following an illness of several years. Burial was to be in the St. Joseph cemetery.
Mrs. Clement, the former Despalie Benoit, is survived by three sons, Leo, Beauregard, and Louis Clement, all of Rayne; two daughters, Mrs. Otis (Angelle Clement) Nunez of Port Arthur, Texas, and Mrs. Bertha Benoit Hebert (Ebrard) of Abbeville; a sister, Mrs. Ignace (Sylvania Benoit) Dupont of Jennings and a brother, Albert Benoit, of New Iberia. Nineteen grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren also survive.
The Gossen Funeral Home of Rayne was in charge of arrangements.
