MIDWAY - Erma "Skeeter" Vandiver, 60, died Jan. 20, 2007, at her residence.
Skeeter was born in Evans County. She traveled extensively with her job as a quality control electronics supervisor for Martin-Marietta.
When she retired, she moved back home to Richmond Hill. She worked for Harrison's Tire and Service Center for a number of years. Five years ago, she moved to Midway to be close to her grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jim Vandiver. Survivors include one daughter, Tina Meyers of Midway; one son, Timothy Meyers of Douglas County; brother, Woody Anderson of Daisy; and two grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
