She was born Feb. 8, 1908, in Pothole, Ariz., and was a homemaker.
A wake will be held on Monday from 6 to 9 p.m. at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church., with the rosary at 7 p.m. The requiem Mass will be held on Tuesday at 9 a.m. at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Desert Lawn.

Refugia Y. Sandate, 96, passed away on March 23, 2004 at YRMC. She was born February 8, 1908, in Pothole, California and resided in Yuma.
Survivors include daughters and sons; Estella Gill, Jessie Soliz, Rudy (Angie) Sandate all of Yuma, also, Mary Helen (Uriel) Camino, Hortense (Gilbert) Ochoa, Amelia (Manuel) Ramirez, Fernando Sandate and Angel Sandate; sister-in-law, Paulina Ybarra of California. She will also be dearly missed by her 35 grandchildren, 85 great grandchildren, 32 great-great grandchildren and many other friends, family and relatives.
She is proceded in death by her husband, Ramon Sandate and her sons; Chris and David Sandate.
A memorial service will be held at I.C. church from 6:00 pm-9:00 pm on Monday, March 29th with rosary at 7:00 pm. A funeral mass will held Tuesday, March 30, at 9:00 am at I.C. church. Services handled by Johnson Mortuary.
