Mrs. Serena Bolia, of 34 Parkside Drive, Lake Placid, died on Sunday at Placid Memorial Hospital after a long illness.

Mrs. Bolia was born April 5,1889 in Jay, daughter of John and Beulah Smith Colby. She was the widow of William Bolia.

Survivors are three daughters, Mrs. Frank Chiniski, of Schenectady, Mrs. Mildred Smith of Lake Placid, Mrs. Alvin Bombard of Massena; three sons, Robert and William of Schenectady and Francis of Los Angeles, Calif; a sister Mrs. Francis Wood of Ogdensburg; nineteen grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. She also leaves several nieces and nephews.

A Rosary Service was held Tuesday at the Clark Funeral Home. A Requiem High Mass was offered at 9 A.M. Wed. Burial took place in North Elba Cemetery.
