Mr. Bobby Gene "Bill" Nunley, 81, of Anderson, Missouri, departed this life on Saturday evening, November 20, 2010 at his residence.

Bob entered this life on October 16, 1929 in Stella, Missouri to the late Onnie A. and Viola Grace (Griggs) Nunley. He was a lifelong resident of McDonald County, Missouri. On November 10, 1950 in Bentonville, Arkansas he was united in marriage to Joan Croddy and to this union one son and two daughters were born. He was a lineman for New-Mac Electric, retiring in 1982 after 33 years of loyal service. He enjoyed coon hunting, fishing and raising cattle. Bob was a member of the New Bethel Church in Anderson, Missouri and a Veteran of the United States Army, serving in Korea.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two siblings, Raymond Nunley and Myrtle Bond; and two grandchildren, Robert Nunley, Jr. and Brandon Hobbs.

Bob is survived by his wife of over sixty years, Joan Nunley of the home; a son, Robert Nunley and wife, Kelly, of Seneca, Missouri; two daughters, Sharron Arntfield of Goodman, Missouri and Sandra Hobbs and husband, Larry, of Anderson, Missouri; twelve grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; four sisters, Dorothy Anderson of Joplin, Missouri, Ruth Broady of Granby, Missouri, Marie Miracle of Joplin, Missouri and Norma Penry of Meriden, Kansas; several nieces and nephews; as well as a host of other family and friends.

Graveside funeral services for Mr. Nunley are 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, November 23, 2010 at the New Bethel Cemetery in Anderson, Missouri with Bro. Bob Wilson officiating. His grandsons will honor his life by serving as pallbearers. The family will receive friends on Monday evening from 6-8:00 p.m. in the Anderson Chapel of the Ozark Funeral Homes. Memorials are being directed to the New Bethel Cemetery Care Fund and contributions may be left at the funeral home.
