Mr. Barry was born Aug. 13, 1920, in Grantsville, Utah. He served in the U.S. Army Air Forces during World War II. He lived in the Portland area 32 years. He worked for Union Pacific Railroad for 42 years, retiring as an office manager in 1983. He was a member of the West Hills Ward LDS Church. He married Sarah J. Martineau in 1942.
Survivors include his wife; sons, Gene N. of Nome, Texas, and Kent M. of Provo, Utah; daughter, Patricia K. Wilde of Bloomington, Ind.; brother, Wesley of Orem, Utah; 16 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Interment will be in Skyline Memorial Gardens. Arrangements are by Donelson, Sewell & Mathews Mortuary.
