Daughter of Johannes and Amy (Johnson) Hedlund.
She graduated from Alvarado High School in 1954.
Joyce was a caregiver for numerous older people in the Alvarado area. She also worked at the Alvarado school until the school closed. In 1997, she moved to Alvarado to the Pioneer Apartments until its closing in 2007, and then moved to the Landmark Apartments in Warren, where she currently had resided.
Joyce enjoyed knitting and crocheting. She also enjoyed the flowers on the farm and in Alvarado by her apartment. Joyce was a member of New Hope Lutheran Church in Alvarado and the WELCA Circle. She also enjoyed current events and being able to share with anyone that was interested.
Most of all, Joyce enjoyed her nieces and nephews and being able to be part of their lives.
A. Joyce Hedlund died on 16 June 2010 at Altru Hospital in Grand Forks, ND at the age of 73.
