Ebenezer removed from Hebron, Grafton, New Hampshire to North Bristol, Grafton, New Hampshire in 1821, and there he built a saw-mill, grist-mill, and woolen-mill. Ebenezer then removed to Bristol Village in 1846 or 1847.
He was a millwright and manufacturer and was considered a genius in that he could do anything and do it well. He believed in an overruling power, but not in creeds, and yet he was active in the construction of the Congregational Church, and purchased eight pews, while no other person purchased more than three.
