Funeral services for Dale E. Tonkel, 61, who died Monday at 2 a.m. at his home in Perry township, will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. at the residence and 2:30 p.m. at the Union Chapel church. Dr. L. R. Berry and Rev. Robert Hershey will officiate, with interment in the Leo Cemetery. The body was taken from D. O. McComb & Sons' funeral home to the residence where friends may call.
Mr. Tonkel, a member of the First Baptist church here, is survived by the wife, Carrie, a daughter, Mrs. Florence Bodenbeck of Monroe; two sisters, Mrs. Roy Faylor and Mrs. Arthur Oplinger, both of Perry township; four brothers, Delmer and Walter of R. R. No. 1, and Ray and Gary of Fort Wayne; and two grandchildren.
