Sharon, ND - The funeral for Mrs. John (Betsy) Gleason, 67, will be here at 10 Saturday in Trinity Lutheran Church. She died Wednesday at a Cooperstown, North Dakota hospital.
Betsy Sampson was born November 21, 1904, near Finley, North Dakota and was married July 3, 1923. The couple farmed near Finley until 1945 when they retired and moved here.
Mrs. Gleason is survived by her husband; a son, John Orville, Minnesota; seven daughters, Mrs. Harold (Betty) Sweere, Frazee, Minnesota; Mrs. Marvin (Elvina) Brager, Hope, North Dakota; Mrs. Eugene (Gladys) Thul, North Mankato, Minnesota; Mrs. Thomas (Donna) Cole, Sunny Vale, California; Mrs. Kenneth (Darlene) Saxerud, Cooperstown; Mrs. Daryl (Marjorie) Gylten, St. Paul, Minnesota; two sisters, Mrs Jorgan Jacobson and Mrs. Frank Wendlick, both Finley; four brothers, Peter, Brainerd, Minnesota, Selmer, Glasgow, Montana, Redwin, Moorhead; Carl, Finley; two half brothers, Carl and Henry, both in California; 40 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
