Andrews, Doris Elaine (Stumpf), age 81, beloved wife of the late Weldon R. Andrews of the Seattle, WA area, rejoined him in heaven on November 22, 2010, with her loved ones by her side. Visitation will be 1-8 p.m., Monday with family receiving friends 6-8 p.m., with a celebration of her life, 2 PM Tuesday, Smith Mortuary, 1415 N. Rock Rd., Derby. Interment will follow at Littleton Cemetery, Mulvane. Doris was born July 16, 1929 in Wichita, KS, and grew up in Mulvane, graduating from Mulvane High School in 1947. Her parents, father, Harry Philip Stumpf, (1898-1947), and mother, Gladys DeEtte Harwood Stumpf (1904-1990) along with various aunts and uncles on both sides preceded her in death. She was the office manager at Tarrant Electric and personal secretary to the former Wichita Mayor, William (Bill) Tarrant, preceding her marriage to the "great love of her life", Weldon "Andy" Andrews, on May 22, 1971. They had nearly 25 years of companionship. Every day they expressed their enduring love and caring for one another and their extended family. She was a devoted daughter, sister, wife, mother and grandmother. Her family and their happiness was everything to her. Those left to mark her passing are: her daughters, Briana Burch Mitchell, whose father was the late Howard N. Burch, of Los Angeles, CA, and Brenda (Andrews) and her husband, Sam Rongkawit. Grandchildren include, Mandy Mitchell, Becky (Mitchell) Kallas and her husband, Joe, and Seth and Tara Rongkawit, all of Wichita, KS. She is also survived by her brother, retired New Mexico University Political Science Professor, Harry Paul Stumpf and his wife, Patricia Rogers, of Albuquerque, NM; nephew, David Stumpf and family of California, and a niece, Kathryn Stumpf, of Arizona. Those left to mourn her passing in the Seattle, WA area include her late husband Weldon Andrews children and grandchildren, whom she loved as her own. Daughters, Diane Matuska and Donna (Louie) Rubbelke and son, John (Karen) Andrews, grandchildren, Aaron (Jill) Andrews, Nicholas Andrews and fiance, Christina Haight, and Mariya (Brian) Zorotovich, and great-granddaughter, Ye Jin Rubbelke Zorotovich. She also leaves behind three best friends, Patsy Millen, Claremore, OK, best friend from childhood, Debbie Ely, Walla Walla, WA, who helped get on with her life after 'spassing, and Norma Dixon, Wichita, KS , who was the rock she held onto in her golden years. And last but not least, her beloved "Boo", the Chihuahua, who took up her lap and her life in her last years and was as devoted to her as she was to him.
