Mrs.Jennie B Carey,82 Patterson,died July 21 in Putnam Hospital Center,Carmel,after a long illness.She was born Feb.11,1901 in Patterson,daughter of the late Charles and Effie Olivett Britton.She had been a member of the Carmel Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary,the Patterson-Putnam Lake Republician Club and the Patterson Baptist Church.She is survived by two children: Florence Coons of Patterson and Samuel L Carey of Shultz,Texas:2 brothers, Francis Britton od Danbury,Ct.and Ernest Britton of Millbrook;A sister Alice Snow of Syracuse;12 grandchildren,19 great-grandchildren and several neices and nephews.
