A local man and his wife died less than an hour apart Thursday evening. Jacob Mohler, seventy-four, 376 Roseville Road, died at his home at 7:45 p.m. after being in ill health for several years. His wife, Ruth E. Mohler, sixty-one, was stricken with a heart attack when informed of the death of her husband and died about 8:40 p.m. She had suffered a number of strokes in the past and was under treatment for a heart ailment. Mr. Mohler was born in Lancaster, a son of the late George and Mary M. Rehm Moyhler, and had been employed some years ago by the former G. Sener and Son Coal and Lumber Co. During World War I he served in Company D, 79th Division of the 304th Engineers. His survivors include a brother, Fred A., and two sisters, Edith E., wife of Clarence A. Farmer, and Irene M. Kendig, all of Lancaster. Mrs. Mohler is a native of Reading. Among her survivors is a sister, Mrs. Anna Stewart, Bel Air, Md. The Mohlers are survived by a son, Donald J., at home.
