Thomas Allen Kelly, age 60 of Hickory Street, Lexington passed away Friday (November 19, 2010) at Lexington Memorial Hospital. Graveside service will be held 1:00 pm Wednesday (November 24, 2010) at Salisbury National Cemetery, with military honors.
The family will receive friends at Davidson Funeral Home Tuesday night from 6:00 until 8:00 pm and at other times at the home of his brother, 490 Bill Lohr Road, Lexington.
Thomas was born in Randolph County, NC December 14, 1949 to William Richard Kelly, Jr. and Elizabeth Mallard Kelly. He was an employee of Food Lion Store 1104 in Lexington. He was a veteran of the US Army, receiving the National Defense Metal, Good Conduct Medal, Expert Rifle Badge with Bar and Marksman Pistol Badge with Bar. He was preceded in death by his parents, sister Margaret Blevins and one brother William Richard Kelly, III.
Surviving are: two sons, Patrick Kelly of Rock Hill, SC and Thomas Glisson of Greensboro; one daughter, Ashley Luck of Thomasville; four grandchildren; two sisters, Linda Carter of Archdale and Carol Hill of Sophia; one brother Michael Kelly of Lexington; fifteen nieces and nephews.
