Ralph "Rex" Harris, 91, died June 30, 2011, in Colorado Springs, Colo.
After graduating in 1955 from Arizona State University in Tempe, Ariz., with a degree in agriculture he worked chiefly in Arkansas as a dedicated salesman of agriculture goods for much of his life.
For 20 years, in the latter part of his life, he was co-manager together with his wife, Sarah, of Heritage Hill Manor in Helena. He was a veteran of World War II, serving four years in the Air Force. He was a member of First Baptist Church in El Dorado.
Rex was preceded in death by his parents; and his wife, Sarah Harris.
Survivors include his two daughters, Renny McGovern of Phoenix, Ariz., and Joan Harris of England, UK; his son, Gene Harris of Colorado Springs, Colo.; three grandchildren, Sean McGovern, Teresa McGovern Bigelow and Christine McGovern; and one great-grandson, William Bigelow.
A graveside burial service will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, July 12, at the Bruce family plot in Oak Grove Cemetery in Conway, under the direction of Young's Funeral Directors, and with Dr. Lynn Worthen officiating.
