Smith -- Died, March 3, at her home, three miles south of dawson, Mrs. Eliza Jan Smith, widow of the late Harry Smith, aged 51 years.
The deceased was born at Abington, West Virginia, in 1839 and moved to this county in 1849. She was twice married. Her first husband was George Deck, and after his death she was married to Harry Smith. She leaves five chidlren, William & Fannie Deck; Susan, James and John Smith, the youngest aged fourteen years. She also leaves two brothers and two sisters: George Fudge of Decatur, Adam Fudge, Mrs. Mary Raymon and Mrs. Lucinda Vasconcelles of this city.
The funeral will take place at the family residence near dawson at 11 am today, and the interment at the Mechanicsburg Cemetery. The relatives and friends from this city will leave on the 9:30 am Wabash train today for Dawson to attend the funeral.
