Born in Wallace, N.C., Mrs. Leary retired after 26 years from the Fleet Library Norfolk Naval Supply Center. She was a member of Park Place United Methodist Church and Laura Finn Bible Class.
Survivors include her husband, Robert B. Leary Sr.; a daughter, Sylvia B. Luck and her husband, J. Carter Luck, of Virginia Beach; a stepson, Robert B. Leary Jr. and his wife, Sally S. Leary, of Portsmouth; and three grandchildren, Bryan A. Luck, Stephanie B. Leary and Robert B. Leary III. She was predeceased by her parents, William Burch and Catherine Stokes Burch.
A funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday in Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Indian River Chapel, by Dr. Charles H. Smith. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery. The family will be at the funeral home from 7 to 8 p.m. Friday. Memorial donations may be made to the Virginia Beach Rescue Squad.
