Emmogene Bevelheimer age 81 of Pea Ridge died Thursday morning Oct 18, 2007 at Smith County Health Care in Carthage where had made her home since July 26, 2001.

Services Sat Oct 20..burial Bevelheimer family plot in Chestnut Mound Baptist church Cemetery. One of 3 children of late Joseph Joe Winston and Lela Dowen lynch Vaden she was born Mary Emmogene Vaden in Helms Bend on Sat Oct 2, 1926.

A sister Rubye Beatrice Vaden Armistead died Oct 14, 1974 at age 58 and also ann infant brother died at birth.

Saturday Jan 12 1946 she married Edmond Fredrick Bevelheimer of Rapid City in Penningyon Co., South Dakota. He died Dec 19, 1987 at age 72. The met while he was on Army maneuvers and often ate at the Vaden home when he traveled through Smith county. Their only Son Fred Olen Bevelheimer died Sept 18, 2000 at age 53...she authored three books "the Gibbs from the Chickahominy in the Caney Fork and From Whence We come...was an avid genealogist and spent many of her retirement years researching and writing about her ancestry...

surviving is her granddaughter Allison Sherell of Huntsville, Ala, 2 nieces Evangeline Kent and husband Thomas of St. Mary community and Brenda Gibbs and husband Eld. James Thomas Gibbs of South Carthage; 2 nephews Danny Armistead and wife Cathy of Baxter and Stephen Armistead and wife Renee of Club Springs...Sanderson of Carthage.
