Kate married Frederick Asmus on February 28, 1928 in Glenvil, Nebraska and he preceded her in death in 1987. They farmed in rural Adams County before she moved into Hastings, Nebraska in 1995.

Katie was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Frederick, 5 brothers and 4 sisters.

Daughter & Son-in-law: Lola "Mae" & Ted Garratt - Sierra Vista, AZ
