Funeral services for Demmon Squires, who was shot fatally on the front porch of his home at 2180 S. 17th St., Sunday, will be held at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at Bisch Memorial Home.

Burial will be in Oak Ridge Cemetery.

Surviving are six sons, Elmer, Springfield; Coy, Riverton; Pete, Donald, Frank and David, all of Springfield; five daughters, Rosetta Miklautsch, Mary Hinkle, Ruth Bunch, Ruby Waters and Mildred Guimard, all of Springfield; three brothers, William, of Springfield; Dewey, of Pawnee; Lewis, of Kentucky; three sisters, Nonie Burris and Georgia Judd, both of Springfield; Ruth Valdez, Arizona; 24 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
