Delbert D. Collins,

85, of Flemingsburg, died Monday, Nov. 22, 2010, at his residence.

He was born Oct. 9, 1925, in Boyd County to the late Achie Collins Sr. And Amanda Hammons Collins.

He was a farmer and mechanic and served in the U.S. Army during World War II.

He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Sylvia Turner Collins; one brother, Rev. Vernon (Bea) Collins of Englewood, Ohio; and one sister, Patricia Thaxton of West Liberty.

He was preceded in death by three brothers, Clifford Collins, Achie "Red" Collins Jr., and Kenneth Collins; and three sisters, Wanda Henry, Levawn Frisby, and Jannetta Fugett.

Services 11 a.m., Saturday, Nov. 27, 2010, at Denton-Workman Funeral Home with Rev. David Turner and Rev. Jerry Williams officiating. Burial in Fleming County Cemetery with Military Rites conducted by Flemingsburg VFW and American Legion.

Visitation 6-9 p.m., today at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Cancer Care Club, East Water Street, Flemingsburg, Ky. 41041.
