David Earl Morris, 74, of Marshall died on Monday, November 22, 2010, at his home.
Mr. Morris was born August 17, 1936, in Marshall to Jethro and Anna (Sabin) Morris. He attended Marshall Schools.
On August 12, 1977, he married Eva Shepherd in Marshall. She Survives.
Mr. Morris had been employed as a janitor for 22 years for the Harper Creek Schools, retiring from Wattles Elementary School. Prior to that, he worked at the Fireside restaurant in Marshall. Mr. Morris enjoyed fishing, bowling, and working on puzzle books. He also enjoyed riding on his scooter, and looking at old cars. Mr. Morris especially enjoyed the time he spent with his family.
He is survived by his wife Eva, sisters Joann Kemper of Ypsilanti, Margaret (Delmar) Crane of Union City, Marjorie VanPatten of Wisconsin, Helen Winchell of Union City, Mabel Wilson of Burlington, and a brother Walter (Betty) Morris of Battle Creek. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and 9 siblings.
Visitation will take place on Saturday, November 27, 2010, from 10am-12noon at the Craig K. Kempf Funeral Home with family present to greet friends at that time. Funeral services celebrating his life will take place at 12noon on Saturday, November 27, 2010, with Reverend Barry Chaffin officiating. Interment will follow at Oakridge Cemetery.
