Stella Campbell Brown, 89, of Plaza Towers, died Wednesday morning at her home.

Mrs. Brown attended First Church of God as long as her health permitted, where she was a member of the Sunshine Class.

She was a lifetime member of the Disabled American Veterans, Chapter #42.

The family said that Mrs. Brown professed her faith in Christ as her Lord and Savior at an early age.

Those close to her knew her as a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, who in return was loved by many friends and relatives. They said that she will be greatly missed by her family and those who knew her and loved her.

She was preceded in death by her husbands, Coy Campbell and Frank Brown.

She was a daughter of the late Charley J. and Martha Smelcer Lowery and was also preceded in death by two sons: Raymond Campbell and Albert Ray Campbell; a grandson: Charles Melvin Campbell; four brothers: Dola D. Lowery, Newt Lowery, Henry Lowery, and George D. Lowery; and three sisters: Hattie Jeffers, Mollie Metcalf, and Polly Ann Carter.
