Daniel is buried with son John Rice(1796-1833) Anna Belle Rice, John's daughter (1833-1853); and Nancy Ann Smith Junkins Rice, wife of Samuel Junkins and John Rice's second wife (1797-1851). Daniel was a leader in the Old German Reformed Church.

The Historical and Biographical Record of Wood County,Ohio, Beers, 1897 "Weston Township section"

"Daniel Rice with his son John and John's second wife, with her children Clarissa, Thomas, Julianne, and Samuel Junkins, and Anna Belle Rice, also four children by his first wife, namely Mary, Elizabeth, Nancy, and Isaac Rice, came in 1833 and settled in section 18. There Daniel Rice died in 1834, in his seventieth year, bequeathing his property to his children and grandchildren. John Rice died in 1833 and was buried in Howard Cemetery but was later moved to the newer Beaver Creek Cemetery."

In the biography of Samuel Junkins:

"The father dying in 1829 (Samuel Junkins) the family returned to Pennsylvania,and in Washington County of that state, the widow (Nancy Ann Smith Junkins)was subsequently married to John Rice. In April, 1833 , the latter with family removed to what was then Weston Township (Now Grand Rapids) this county, and settled in section 18 where they resided for some six months when Mr. Rice died, and the family removed to section 21, and occupied a small house build by John Gingery. Mr. Rice had entered land from the government but his affairs were in such shape that it was lost to the widow."

There are also mentions in Grand Rapids Township section where Beaver Creek Cemetery is located. Grand Rapids Township was once part of Weston Township.
