BURZICHELLI, Dolores T. (nee Salvatore), Age 75 years, of Paulsboro, died Wednesday, November 3, 2010, surrounded by her family in her home. Dolores was born in Camden and was a life long Paulsboro resident where she was a 1952 graduate of Paulsboro High School. She was a lovely woman and active community member. Dolores worked as a Librarian at Loudenslager School and then as a Secretary at Billingsport School, retiring after 23 years of service. She was the Immediate Past President and current Vice President of the Paulsboro School Board. She also volunteered at St. John's School as Librarian and was in the in the mid-1970s was co-owner and manager of La Roma's Pizzeria. Dolores was a life long member of St. John the Evangelist Church, Paulsboro where she was President of the Altar and Rosary Society. Dolores also was Past President of the Ladies Auxiliary of Billingsport Volunteer Fire Association. In an era before women coached baseball, Dolores coached for Paulsoro Little League, and also the Recreation League Softball teams. She was also a member of the Paulsboro Wrestling Association and Secretary for many years for the Paulsboro All Sports Banquet. She is survived by her beloved husband of 56 years, Mayor John D. Burzichelli of Paulsboro; her children, Deputy Speaker, NJ General Assembly, and current Mayor of Paulsboro John J. (Janice) Burzichelli of Paulsboro, Theodore T. (Carolyn A.) Burzichelli of Paulsboro, Robert (Claudia) Burzichelli Esq. of Bridgewater and Cape May Point, Dominick (Karen) Burzichelli of Gibbstown; her grandchildren, Shannon L. (Tavia), Jessica, Melissa, Daniel, Corinne and Jaqueline Burzichelli; her Brother, Joseph Jr. and Clarita Salvatore of Mullica Hill. Mrs. Burzichelli was predeceased by her parents, Joseph Sr. and Josephine Salvatore and her sister, Anita Cockrell. A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at 10:30 AM Monday November 8, 2010 in St. Clare of Assisi Parish at St. John the Evangelist Church, 7th and Beacon Aves., Paulsboro. A viewing was held Sunday evening, November 7th and Monday Morning after 9:30 AM in St. John's Church. Interment New St. Joseph's Cemetery, Swedesboro, NJ.
