Tobias's father, Hezekiah Clark, and his ancestors back to about 1700 were from Connecticut - Tobias's mother was born in Ontario Canada where Hezekiah met and married her and Tobias was born. Tobias came to the US from Canada in spring 1846, arriving in Oneida Co NY in fall of 1848. He died and was buried in small cemetery 12 miles northwest of Greenleaf, KS. After his wife Ellen died, his body was moved to Oklahoma to Otter Creek Cemetery to be buried near her.
