Leonard E. "Lennie" Bergmann, 72, of Waterloo, died Saturday, November 20 at Cedar Valley Hospice Home of emphysema and COPD.
He was born July 20, 1938 in Waterloo, son of Leo and Geraldine Thieman Bergmann. He married Sharon Lykins on May 31, 1958 in Waterloo.
He worked for John Deere Waterloo Tractor Works for 36 years, retiring in January 1993.
Survived by his wife; three sons, Tim of Cedar Rapids, and Ted and Tod, both of Waterloo; one brither, Roger (Candy) Bergmann of West Salem, Wisconsin; two nieces, Tracy (Craig) Lorenzen of Overland Park, Kansas, and Carrie (Chris) Langan of Sparta, Wisconsin; one sister-in-law, Barbara (Earl) Jacobson of Waterloo; and one nephew, Chad Jacobson of Waterloo.
Preceded in death by one nephew.
Memorial services 1:00 p.m. Tuesday at Richardson Funeral Home, Cedar Falls, with private family inurnment before services in Garden of Memories Mausoleum, Waterloo. Public visitation from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
