Bob was energetic and passionate about everything he did. Always with a smile and greeting, Bob had many friends and was a well-known figure in his hometown of Santa Claus, Indiana. He was active in the Santa Claus Optimist Club and the Indiana South District of Optimist International, where he served in various leadership capacities and was named Distinguished Lt. Governor in 2004. He was also an active member of the Tri-Parish Knights of Columbus and the Santa Claus American Legion Post, as well as a member of the Loyal Order of the Moose. Bob is survived by his wife, Sylvia, two sons, Robert and Ronald, three brothers, Bill, Marv, and Allen, and a sister, Janice Bieker. He passed away at St. Mary's Medical Center, Evansville, Indiana following a brief illness after surgery for an aortic aneurism.
