Beulah Mae Taylor and Jack Hill married at Guntersville First United Methodist Church April 3, 1948. She and Jack remained members and raised their daughters at Guntersville First United Methodist Church. At the time of her death she was the longest standing member of the church.

Beulah graduated from Arab High School and Business College. She met her future sister-in-law Ruth Hedricks Hill at Business College. They went to Washington D. C. and worked at the Pentagon during World War II. They became best friends and roommates in Washington D.C. Our family grew up hearing what a great time they had as young ladies from rural Sand Mountain. Ruth married Charles Hill after WWII and that is when Beulah was introduced to Jack Hill. They were married 45 years until his death in 1993.

Beulah became a mother and a homemaker. She was a great cook and great seamstress. She loved her family, her church, and her friends.

Beulah Mae Taylor Hill was preceded in death by her parents, Winnie Stearnes Taylor and James Franklin Taylor, her husband, Jack Lee Hill, a sister, Margie Taylor St. John, and several cousins.

She is survived by daughters: Susan Hill, Kaye Carter (Lewis), Jean Hamrick (Robert), grandson, Clay Carter, special daughter Jane Owens (Tony), sister Jackie McClendon Merritt, sister-in-law Ruth Hill, sister-in-law and husband Inez and O.W. Norton, numerous nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers were Mike Bush, Steve McClendon, Taylor Owens, Tony Owens, Keith Norton, Michael Carter, Tommy Thompson, and Johnathon Wood. Honorary pallbearers were Dr. John Boggess and Harvey Paul Sims.

A celebration of her life was held Friday, December 2, 2016 at the First United Methodist Church of Guntersville. Burial was in Marshall Memorial Gardens.

In lieu of flowers the family wishes donations be made to Guntersville First United Methodist Church.
