Arinda Ann Paul was the daughter of Jeremiah & Mary Jane Hamer Paul. She married Charles T. Hurd on June 12, 1869 in Pendleton County, Kentucky.

WEDDING DRESS WILL BE THE SHROUD FOR MINISTER'S WIFE

A wedding dress in which she was remarried to her husband on their 60th wedding anniversary two years ago will be the shroud in which Mrs. Arrinda Hurd, 80, of 122 E. Front-st, Newport, is buried.
Mrs. Hurd, wife of Rev. C. T. Hurd, pastor of Bethel Tabernacle, 123 E. Second-st, Newport, died late Tuesday at her home following an illness of five weeks. She had been an invalid the past two years.
Mr. and Mrs. Hurd had been married 62 years ago and celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary in 1928 by being remarried.
Mrs. Hurd has lived in Newport since 1885. She was exceedingly active in church affairs, aiding her husband.
Besides her husband, Mrs. Hurd is survived by six daughters and two sons, 35 grandchildren, and 42 great-grandchildren.
Funeral will be Thursday at 2 p. m. at Bethel Tabernacle, with Rev. M. G. Stanley of God's Bible School, Mt. Auburn, officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery. John J. Radel Co., Newport undertakers, are in charge of the funeral.
