William James Bradley Died Sept. 14 In Hospital

William James Bradley died at St. John's Hospital, Oxnard, on September 14, after an illness of 11 days. His death came two days after his 75th birthday. Mr. Bradley lived at 3046 Crescent Way in Thousand Oaks, and had lived in Ventura County for 24 years. He came from Wrangell, Alaska, and was retired from the trucking business. Born September 12, 1879, in Phelps County, Mo., Mr. Bradley spent many years in Alaska before coming to California. He leaves his wife, Elizabeth Bradley of Thousand Oaks; sons C. W. Bradley of Anchorage, Alaska, C. R. Bradley of Wrangell, H. I. Bradley and L. P. Bradley of Thousand Oaks; daughters Jewel Binkley and Mrs. Opal Lowney of Wrangell, Mrs. Ruby Martin of Reseda, Mrs. S. G. Mauer and Mrs. Garnett Meyers of Thousand Oaks; also 12 grandchildren and three stepchildren, Gene Barlet of the U. S. Navy, Tom L. Barlet of Madison, Wisconsin, and Mrs. Tom Lemmon of Moorpark. Funeral services were held at Griffin Funeral Home, Camarillo, on September 16, at 2 p.m., with the Rev. Kenneth L. Stuckey officiating. Burial was in the family plot at Ivy Lawn.

(Mr.Bradley was the son of James William Bradley and Elizabeth 'Betsy' Bathsheba Wheeler Bradley.)
