Darlene C. Platt "Dar" BLUFFDALE - "Dar" passed away November 5, 2005 at the age of 71. Born March 31, 1934 in Hastings, Nebraska to Russell and Gladys Gertrude Wyman Alder. Married to James "Jim" Platt for 53 years. They had three daughters, Debbie Fife, deceased, Tami (Nathan) Jeppson, and Lori Cordova. Dar and Jim enjoyed nine grandchildren, and 16 great-grandchildren. From the 9th grade on, Dar was a caregiver to her siblings, raised her own kids, and helped raise a granddaughter (Darlene Fife) and great-granddaughter (Candice Fife). She always had a gift ordered for someone from one of her many catalogs, was the best cook around, (her spaghetti will be missed) and was the best example of what it meant to be a beautiful woman by doing her hair, her fingernails, and wearing perfume, lipstick, and earrings, right to the end. We will miss especially her bright pink lipstick. Mostly we will miss her infectious smile and bright personality. Celebrating a new life, she will be happily greeted by Debbie; her parents; and brother, Bud. We love you, Mom. Funeral services will be Wednesday 1 p.m. at Broomhead Funeral Home, 12600 So. 2200 W. where Friends may call one hour prior to services. In lieu of flowers family suggest contributions be made to the family.
