AGED VETERAN DIES
JOHN W. COX PASSED AWAY AT MARION
SOLDIERS HOME SATURDAY.
Word was received here late Satur-
day announcing the death of John W.
Cox, age 80, who died at noon Satur-
day at the Marion Soldiers' Home
where he had been living for some
time. He was a member of the Grand
Army post here and had a large cir-
cle of friends who will be grieved to
learn of his demise. He is survived
by the following children: Isaac Cox,
Alexandria, William Cox, Marion,
George Cox, Alexandria, Dora Huff-
man, Bridgeport, Ill.; Elizabeth Wil-
kins, Elwood, Mattie Styers, Niles, O.,
Blanche Whipple, Alezandria, Rhoda
May, Goldfield, Ia. The Funeral will
be held tomorrow afternoon and bur-
ial will occur in the Soldiers' home
cemetery.
