A K Parker, Esq, died last Saturday, the 2nd inst, at his home at Hillsdale, Monroe county, from the effects of a stroke of paralysis, which happened to him on the 30th ult, whilst measuring corn near his house. Mr Parker was one of the best known and most worthy citizens of Monroe county, and his sudden death will be a shock to his many friends there and in Greenbrier. His body was buried at Sink's Grove last Sunday and was followed to the grave by a concourse of people as large as had been seen in Monroe in many years. He was 65 years old.
