About 10 o'clock last Friday night, the 6th inst, Mr James M Windell, who lives near Pickaway, in Monroe county, heard his mother, Mrs Mary Windell, call him from an adjoining room. He hastened to her as quickly as possible and found her enveloped in flames. She had prepared for bed and her night clothing had in some way caught fire. Her whole body was so badly burned that she died the following night, aged about 70 years. Mrs Windell had been a widow for many years, and was a cousin of Messrs George and J C Young, of that county.
