He attended various classes at Chemeketa Community College including the welding sequence during which he became a certified welder. He worked at various venues during his lifetime including the Lighting Gallery, Costco and T-Plus steel Fabricators. He loved computers, cameras and guitars. He spent many happy hours with each activity. He was a prolific reader of books and magazines on each topic. He also dabbled in art, producing drawings and some oil painting.
Brian is survived by his daughter, Kyra Jones and parents, Robert and Virginia Erickson.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m., Friday, December 3, 2010 at City View Funeral Home, 390 Hoyt St. S., Salem. Private interment will be in Mt. Crest Abbey Mausoleum. Arrangements by City View Funeral Home.
