Arthur O. Ball, a resident of the Brownsboro area for 65 years, died Friday afternoon in the Veteran's Hospital at Dallas after a long illness. He was 77.
Services will be held Sunday at 2 p.m. at the Calvary Baptist Church in Brownsboro with the Rev. J.D. Johnston officiating. Burial will be in the Red Hill Cemetery near Murchison.
The Carroll and Lehr Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Pallbearers will be Clarence Hatton, Ralph Hatton, Lloyd Hatton, Thurl Hatton, Gurley Fulgham and Emerson Chapman.
Mr. Ball, a retired farmer, was a veteran of World War I and a member of the Brownsboro Masonic Lodge.
He married Miss Ludie Lawrence at Leagueville on July 10, 1917. She survives.
Other survivors include a son, Arthur Ball Jr. of Dallas; one daughter, Mrs. Y.G. Hatton of Brownsboro; one brother, Bob Ball of Alto; three sisters, Mrs. Vinnie Tomlinson of Tyler, Mrs. Minnie Cannon of Big Spring and Mrs. Annie Alvis of Fort Worth.
Also four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
