AFFLICTION WAS FATAL TO MRS. WATERS

(From Wednesday's Daily)

Another estimable and beloved pioneer woman resident of this county, Mrs. Jennie Waters, of Dewey, has been called by the reaper, her death taking place in this city yesterday after submitting to an operation.

She had been in ill health for many years, and the surgical course was deemed advisable owing to her critical condition.

Mrs. Waters had been a resident of this section for nearly forty years, and was a widow woman. She was a kind friend to all, and with a purity of purpose won the affection of many friends.

Of her immediate relatives a sister, Mrs. J. H. Maders, of Dewey, with whom she resided, and two brothers, James and Jeff McWhorter, of Ash creek, survive. She was a native of Kentucky.

The remains are at Ruffner's and it is probable burial will take place at Cherry creek.

Note: Daughter of Howard Sutton and Matilda Jane (Watson) McWhorter, wife of Thomas J. Waters. Burial is at the Cherry Creek Cemetery, Cherry, Ariz.
