She lived in Rexburg and attended schools in Moody, Sugar City, Edmunds and Rexburg. She graduated from Madison High School in 1963, she also attended Ricks College.
She was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in many callings. She served an LDS mission to Southern California for 18 months.
Judy worked on the family farm, she babysat many children and made life long friends by doing so. She was an avid photographer, fisherman and loved to be with her family and friends. She was a very giving and caring person and helped many people in their time of need. She was a very loyal friend and was loved by all who knew her. Judy was a volunteer "pink lady" for more than 35 years. The gift shop at the new Madison Memorial Hospital was dedicated to her. She lived at the family home with her best friend, her mother.
She is survived by her mother, Donna Summers of Sugar City, Idaho, siblings, Gay (Randy) Murdock of Victor, Idaho, Jean (Ray) Whitmore, Lauralee (Brad) McFarland both of St. Anthony, Idaho, and Kelly (Julie) Summers of Rexburg, Idaho. She is also survived by 13 nieces and nephews and 30 great nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father, Franklin G. Summers, a brother, George Gunnell Summers, Grandparents and a nephew.
Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Monday, December 6th at the Mill Hollow LDS Church with Bishop Dane Dickson officiating. Interment will be in the Sugar City Cemetery.
