He was born January 2, 1911, in Nappanee, Indiana, to Aaron and Clara (Weldy) Myers. On January 30, 1932, he married Ruby Ellen Keyser in Warsaw. She died April 17, 1991.
Mr. Myers was a lifelong resident of Elkhart County. He was a farmer and had also worked at Chase Bag Company in the late 1920's and early 30's and in travel trailer production at Buddy Coach until his retirement. After retirement he did motor home deliveries for Coachman.
He was a member of the Brenneman Memorial Missionary Church in Goshen and the Sarasota Nazarene Church. Mr. Myers had wintered at Oak Wood Manor in Sarasota, Florida for 35 years.
He volunteered as a Red Coat at Goshen General Hospital for 12 years.
He is survived by two daughters, Eileen McCloskey of Goshen and Gladys (William) Graff of Syracuse; two son, Roscoe Willis (Helen) Myers of Tampa, Florida, and Gerald (Shirley) Myers of Goshen; 17 grandchildren, 37 great-grandchildren and 34 great-great-grandchildren. He is also survived by a sister, Bertha Martin of Shipshewana, Indiana; two brothers, Lowell (Lois) Myers of Sommerset, Michigan and Robert (Imogene) Myers of Goshen; and 55 nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Ruby; a son, H. Max Myers; two sisters, Maxine Newcomer and Mabel Myers; and four brothers, Harold, Warren, Kenneth and Forrest Myers.
Friends will be received 2 to 8 Thursday, January 5, 2006, at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home and one prior to the service on Friday at the church.
A 10:00 a.m., Friday, January 6, 2006, service will be held at Brenneman Memorial Missionary Church. Rev. George Nantz will officiate.
Burial will be in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Osceola.
