Suffering from severe depression, sadly, she decided to end her life. Mary was born on October 4th, 1961 in New York to parents Harry Lookofsky and Helen Rich Haas.
She graduated with a Bachelor of Art degree in Art from Stockton State College in Pomona and spent most of her adult life living at the Jersey shore.
She loved the ocean and walking the beach. She was a very talented artist and violinist. She was a very caring, generous, and loyal friend, sister, daughter and step-daughter. She will be sadly missed by many who loved her.
She is survived by her two sisters, Jayne Lookofsky of Dunedin, Florida and Susan Lookofsky of Phoenix, Arizona; her brother, Peter Lookofsky of Garfield, New Jersey; her step-mother, Sherry Lookofsky of York, Pennsylvania.
A memorial service will be held at 10 o'clock in the morning on November 7, 2009 at Way of Life Assembly of God, 5000 Ventnor Avenue in Ventnor. Reverend Bill Warner will be officiating.
