Funeral for Awilda Marie Kirkland Fletcher, 81, of Center,
will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at the Watson and Sons Funeral
Home with the Rev. Carl Smith officiating. Burial will be in
Bethel Cemetery, Logansport, La.

Fletcher died March 27, 2005, in Center.

Born May 28, 1923, in Center, she was the daughter of Edward
David and Awilda Richards Kirkland. A previous resident of
Logansport, she had lived in Center for the past 23 years. She
was a member of the First Baptist Church. She was married to
Lee Roy Fletcher, and he preceded her in death.

Survivors include daughters Nancy English of Theriot, La., and
Carol Thomas of Center; son, Eddie David "Butch" Fletcher of
Center; eight grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and one
great-great-grandchild.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday.
