Funeral services for Carl Lester Leightenheimer, 66, of Richmond will be held at 10 am on Wednesday, Aug 13 at St John’s United Methodist Church in Richmond with interment following at Morton Cemetery in Richmond. The Rev Pauline Harvey and Rose Mary Behrens will officiate the services.

Mr Leightenheimer was born in July 8, 1931 in Portsmouth, Ohio and passed away on Aug 10, 1997 in Richmond. He belonged to the Morton Masonic Lodge and enjoyed teaching Sunday School.

He is preceded in death by his parents J W and Nannie B Bates Leightenheimer.

Mr Leightenheimer is survived by his wife of 44 years; mother-in-law; sons; sisters; grandchildren; great grandchildren; niece; nephew; and special cousin.

Honorary pallbearers are the Portsmouth Ohio Class of 1949.

The Leightenheimer family wishes to extend their sincere appreciation to the staff of Polly Ryon Memorial Hospital and Polly Ryon Skilled Nursing Center for their caring and compassion.
