Leona was born in Belleville, June 15, 1918 to Samuel Edgar and Mollie Ellen McCleskey. She graduated from Belleville High School in 1936. She married Harvey Heffington of Harkeys Valley in 1938. She moved to Colorado in 1955 with her husband, Harvey, son Donald and daughter Phyllis. Leona was preceded in death by Harvey, son Donald, two brothers, two sisters and her parents.
She is survived by, daughter and son-in-law, Phyllis and Gerald Ludwig, daughter-in-law, Judy Heffington of Conifer, CO, grandchildren, Rick and Ron Ludwig of Bayfield, Mark Heffington of Arvada, CO and Tracie Baker of Bayfield, their spouses and four great-grandchildren; sisters, Elwanda Williams of Malvern, AR, Lora George of Ola, AR, Ernestine Sugg of Sheridan, AR, a brother, Wayne McCleskey of Pocahontas, AR and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
