74 years old; Second known husband was Cotman Methvin - married 18 Sept 1890 in Union Parish, Louisiana. They lived in Jackson Parish for several years. Abella (often documents had her name as Della) moved to Shreveport in 1911 after Cotman's death.

In the 1930 and 1940 US Federal Census for Shreveport, Della's granddaughter, Lois Stencil [Sisson] lived with her on Greenwood Road.

Her daughter, Jesse Louise Methvin Brannon, killed herself by swallowing lye on May 31, 1937. She died the next day in Wink, Texas. Coincidentally, her granddaughter, Raby Hill Rothery consumed rat poison on 12 June 1949 in Shreveport. She too, died the next day. It was believed Raby was despondent over her husband insisting she give up custody of their adopted child, Gail.
