Don Ray Barefoot, 73, of Henrico, passed away Wednesday, November, 19, 2008. He was preceded in death by his wife, Helen Allen Barefoot; and son, Donald Ray Barefoot Jr.

He is survived by daughters, Pamela Harell of Richmond and Kelly Snavely of Mechanicsville; sister, Jewel F. Brock of Kissimmee, Fla.; three grandchildren, Justin Harell, Logan Snavely and Conner Snavely. A retiree of Reynolds Metals Company, he was an active member of Bon Air Christian Church for over 30 years.

A memorial service will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. at Bon Air Christian Church, 2071 Buford Road. The family will receive guests immediately following the service. In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions be made to the American Heart Association online at http://honor.americanheart.org/ and search for 'Barefoot'. Donations of ribbon will be accepted at the service to make a LOVE quilt in his memory.
