Thomas was born in Hunt County, Tex. In 1909, he moved with his family to Oklahoma. He settled in Woodlake in 1923.

He and Florence LeGrande were married in Woodlake on May 9, 1930.

In his early working years, he was employed on various ranches, by the Spalding Lumberyard, and the Woodlake Elementary School.

During World War II, he was in maritime service, and worked in Bay Area shipyards. After he returned to Woodlake and worked for 14 years as an inspector for California Fruit Exchange. He worked for the Tulare Agriculture Department 11 years before retiring in 1974.

Mr. Alexander was a member of the First Baptist Church of Visalia and the Visalia and Woodlake Gleaners.
Mr. Alexander died in his Woodlake home.
