JOSEPH ANTHONY BARTONE

Oct. 11, 1984 - Nov. 30, 2010

SALEM - Born in Salem, Oregon.

Joe will be remembered with a smile on his face and for his contagious laughter. Joe was loved by everyone whose path he crossed or life he touched.

He attended Douglas McKay High School and earned his GED with honors.

Joe was involved in Boy Scouts and the Salem Boys Choir.

He loved the outdoors and sports, his passion being golf. He also enjoyed cooking and could make something amazing out of nothing.

Although Joe had no children of his own, he was amazing with the children of his many friends and family.

He was always down to try something new at least once, maybe twice.

Above all, Joe never met a stranger, just a friend he hadn't met yet.

Joe was the son of Michael F. Bartone Jr. and Vivian Bartone. Beloved brother of Gregg, David, Michael and Kathleen.

A Mass of Christian Burial was held at St. Joseph Catholic Church.

Cause of death: injuries from being hit by a car while searching for his dog on a dark morning - by odd chance, the dog was then also struck and killed
