A telegram has been received by William Ashley from San Diego, saying that his mother, Mrs. Deborah Ashley, had quietly passed away at 5:30 Wednesday afternoon. Memorial services were held there and the body was cremated; later memorial services were held here. Mrs. Deborah Adams was born in the town of Richmond August 19, 1838. She was married to George Ashley January 28, 1863. To them were born one son, William, of Richmond Center, and two daughters. Miss Alice, of Point Loma, California, and Mrs. Mary Abel, of Honeoye. She is survived also by five grandchildren. Mr. Ashley died fourteen years ago. Mrs. Ashley was one of nine children born to Lorena Short and Alden Adams, of whom Mrs. Prudence Hopkins survives. Mrs. Ashley was a member of the Universalist church of Bristol.
